Socratic Files...the cover up!

Someone is desperate to not have everyone in local read about him...Either that or he just doesn't 'get' the forums...So he's trying to cover it all up.

Zedrik Cayne > http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1514296
Zedrik Cayne > Read about your local d-bag :)
Socratic > so you are spreading viruses with your illegal links now, Zedrik
Socratic > you are a pretty low jerk, aren't you
Socratic > people, scrub your computers after following his links
Sly Noble > eh, socratics pretty cool, he loses expensive ships and doesn't afraid of anything
Zedrik Cayne > In case nobody's noticed, they are to the eve online forums and to blogspot.com :)
Zedrik Cayne > I certainly hope you aren't suggesting that I managed to hack either to put Malware up.
Socratic > and the "read" link from there comes complete with a virus warning
Socratic > chack any virus blocker program
Zedrik Cayne > That's the sound of a desperate man right there...'OMG DON'T TRUST THE EVE FORUMS OR BLOGSPOT!'
Socratic > the read link was placed by you
Kazuo Tanaka > You mean.. I should trut them?
Socratic > and EVE itself provides the warning
Otto VonKuechle > trollers gonna  troll
Kazuo Tanaka > *trust
Zedrik Cayne > Well, the eve forums, yeah, they're pretty decent for not being too scummy.
Zedrik Cayne > Wait...you are saying that the warning page that you are leaving the forums means I have trojans on blogspot.com?
Zedrik Cayne > *snerk*
Socratic > from Zedrik's provided "read" link:
Socratic > WARNING!Hackers are spamming our forums with links leading to key-loggers/Trojans and then ruining the accounts of players that navigate to those links. You have chosen to follow an external link. This link leads to a site outside of the cont...
Zedrik Cayne > All external links say that Soc :)
Socratic > no only yours

I am at a loss for words...Really.

  1. I'll let you in on a little secret: links from Eve Online forums to a select few sites DO NOT get the "scammers" warning. One of the sites is the forums themselves (not terribly useful to us). Another site is the Evelopedia (wiki.eveonline.com). I'll leave it to your imagination to determine how best to use that information.

  2. I'm so pleased I don't play this game during the American TZ.
