This chat is a few days old...been sitting on it. Joe's Zephyr managed to get dead on Jita 4-4 undock while one of his wartargets were watching.
Eventually, the conversation turns around to some of the best advice that Joe has recieved to date.
w1lds1n3 > I hope that wasn't your only Zephyr...
Joe Phoenix > ofcourse it was, you only got one
w1lds1n3 > Sorry for your loss.
w1lds1n3 > Actually, not really.
Joe Phoenix > its worth fuck all
w1lds1n3 > So I guess you didn't profit from that loss, eh? :)
Joe Phoenix > its hard ot profit from what is basicly a shuttle
Joe Phoenix > but yer i did
w1lds1n3 > Sure you did.
Joe Phoenix > no i did... really
Joe Phoenix > 2k
w1lds1n3 > I'm sure 2000 ISK will go a long way to fueling the war effort :)
Joe Phoenix > look after the pennies :P
w1lds1n3 > Shame, you could have sold it for at least 10mil
w1lds1n3 > I've seen them sell for as much as 100
w1lds1n3 > So if you consider your potential profit, you lost, big time.
Joe Phoenix > i don't know why...
Joe Phoenix > i could get 5 on them today for free
w1lds1n3 > Pics or it didn't happen/
Joe Phoenix > what?
w1lds1n3 > Nevermind.
w1lds1n3 > You know Joe, this investigation has been going on for 5 months now, and more and more people keep joining in. Do you think this is ever going to die down as long as you keep opening your mouth and providing everyone entertainment?
Joe Phoenix > well if idiots believe zedrik cayne what can u do.
Joe Phoenix > its wierd since i haven't said anything publicly for months.
w1lds1n3 > But you've said plenty in private, and I've inspected the log files myself, nothing has been faked, and you know it.
Joe Phoenix > ahhha yer right w1ld
w1lds1n3 > I don't need to believe Zedrik when all the evidence I've seen from other people's accounts, and my own talks with you point to the truth.
Joe Phoenix > what do you actuelly want wld, im very busy
w1lds1n3 > Zedrik is an honorable man. If you met his very simple terms, this would all be over. You could make an alt, put him in the CEO seat, and never speak a word on him, and still remain the "leader" and public face of the IC.
w1lds1n3 > And the IEEE and the rest of us would move on.
Joe Phoenix > AHHA
Joe Phoenix > sorry
Joe Phoenix > natural reaction
w1lds1n3 > The only one keeping this going is you, Joe.
Joe Phoenix > when i hear zedrik and honorable in the same sentance i have uncontrolable laught that sets in.
w1lds1n3 > Zedrik keeps his word. The same cannot be said for you.
w1lds1n3 > I hear Damien is still waiting for his manticore.
Joe Phoenix > ermmm yes it can
Joe Phoenix > i killed damien, he was a war target!
w1lds1n3 > You told him that you'd replace his ship.
Joe Phoenix > if he gets me zedriks corpse
Joe Phoenix > OH
Joe Phoenix > he must have missed that part out!
w1lds1n3 > But that's besides the point, the point is, all you'd need to do to end this is switch spots with an alt.
w1lds1n3 > As long as you keep your mouth shut, nobody would know.
Joe Phoenix > ahha yer and thats the point.
w1lds1n3 > And the investigation goes away. I give you my personal promise that as soon as this investigation is concluded to Zed's satisfaction, I will retract my own wardec.
Joe Phoenix > ahha you just don't get it,,
w1lds1n3 > What is there to get?
w1lds1n3 > You seem to throw that phrase around a lot, but you never can articulate what there is to get.
w1lds1n3 > Zedrik isn't doing this because he's out to get you, he's doing it because he's looking after the best interests of your corporations members. As long as you're CEO and calling the shots, they'll be in danger.
w1lds1n3 > You do not fulfill your duties as CEO by training them, leading them, or treating them with respect.
Joe Phoenix > bollucks!
w1lds1n3 > And don't tell me you do, because our many spies we've had in your corp say otherwise.
Joe Phoenix > that is bollucks and you know it.
w1lds1n3 > Well then we'll have to agree to disagree then, because the reports from the spies are quite damning.
w1lds1n3 > Spies and former members that is.
Joe Phoenix > infomation under duress is worth fuck all and you know it.
w1lds1n3 > Duress? I camped one of your members, but I did not kill him. I told him about the investigation, the current wars, and the danger he faced. He responded by telling me that he was not made aware of any of this by you, and made a decision to leave
w1lds1n3 > I then let him go unharmed.
w1lds1n3 > That's just ONE example.
w1lds1n3 > There have been many similar accounts.
Joe Phoenix > oh yer and the 20m didn't come into this at all
w1lds1n3 > I haven't paid a single ISK to any of your members.
w1lds1n3 > Paknac helped one of your already departed members get back on his feet, since he was completely broke.
w1lds1n3 > That was after he left.
Joe Phoenix > yer yer
Joe Phoenix > w1ld i cant stand liers... so stop trying to pull it off on me ok?
w1lds1n3 > I do not have any reason to lie to you.
Joe Phoenix > ofcourse you do
Joe Phoenix > zedrik is porbably paying you
w1lds1n3 > Believe it or not Joe, I am trying to help you out here by trying to reason with you.
w1lds1n3 > Hhaha, I wish he was...
w1lds1n3 > That'd be some nice easy income.
w1lds1n3 > Sadly that's not the case.
w1lds1n3 > I'm doing this of my own choice.
w1lds1n3 > As are my corpmates.
Joe Phoenix > for an attempt at fame
Joe Phoenix > which is very sad, i might just add
w1lds1n3 > Well, I won't lie, the attention is nice.
w1lds1n3 > A CEO has to make a name for himself and his corporation somehow.
w1lds1n3 > But that's not the main reason I'm doing it, that's just a welcome bonus.
w1lds1n3 > I told you Joe, I do not lie, for I have no reason to.
Joe Phoenix > by griefing a corp...
Joe Phoenix > on the band waggon of an insain syco
w1lds1n3 > Well, I am psychotic. Or at least, my character is.
w1lds1n3 > I have never denied that.
Joe Phoenix > you just don't get it.
w1lds1n3 > Enlighten me then.
Joe Phoenix > zedrik is boardering on getting banned
w1lds1n3 > Zedrik has no crossed that line yet.
w1lds1n3 > We'll see if and when he gets banned.
Joe Phoenix > i get a letter through my front door the other day... he's crossed the line
w1lds1n3 > And besides, the worst he'd get for a first offence is a temporary ban.
w1lds1n3 > Oh? And what did it say, Joe.
Joe Phoenix > i don't really want to say to be honest
w1lds1n3 > Then who was it from?
Joe Phoenix > wrather unplesent
Joe Phoenix > you think they'd give me a return address? or sign it?
w1lds1n3 > I am quite certain Zed would not stoop to the level of invading your personal life. If this letter really does exist, I can guarantee you it was not sent by Zedrik at the least.
w1lds1n3 > If you can't prove who sent it, then I don't see any bans forthcoming.
w1lds1n3 > Look Joe, I am trying to help you. Lets look at the facts, disregarding any personal issues:You are one man against an army of people who outclass you in skills and numbers. Because you don't seem to care about training your members
w1lds1n3 > you can't look to them for help.
w1lds1n3 > You've tried many things to dodge this war, from hiding in wormholes, to hiding in protected NRDS space
w1lds1n3 > Neither of which as stopped you from getting killed.
Joe Phoenix > no your not!
Joe Phoenix > your trying to make me loss this war
w1lds1n3 > Of course I am, because if you look at the facts, you'd realize that as of now, you *can't* win.
w1lds1n3 > I am trying to help you by making you see that you can end this, by losing. And then you can go on your merry way and do whatever you want.
w1lds1n3 > And no, simply surviving and continuing on isnt winning.
w1lds1n3 > That's just stubborness
Joe Phoenix > defiance againest impossible odds is in my blood.
w1lds1n3 > Whatever you feel is worth your subscription fees then... I can't imagine you think this is particularily fun.
Joe Phoenix > i don't pay for the game
w1lds1n3 > defiance against all logic and reason is not a virtue, Joe.
Joe Phoenix > oh there is always a reason
Joe Phoenix > thus there is always some kind of logic.
w1lds1n3 > A reasonable man would cut his losses, lick his wounds, and move on in this situation.
w1lds1n3 > Have I surrendered to wars before? Of course, because I was left with few other options.
Joe Phoenix > now i think your more concerned that zedrik will loss alot of respect if he losses the war with us.
Joe Phoenix > and that W1ld, is why nobody will remember your name...
w1lds1n3 > You still seem to be under the impression that the only reason I'm in this is for the fame.
w1lds1n3 > It's not.
Joe Phoenix > well then you must be an idiot
w1lds1n3 > And Zedrik will not lose. Not militarily anyway. Maybe he'll eventually get bored.
w1lds1n3 > Maybe I will too.
w1lds1n3 > So I'm an idiot now because I *don't* care if I get famous?
Joe Phoenix > you will, because i won't lose
w1lds1n3 > Boy you sure change your tune a lot.
Joe Phoenix > no your an idiot because you think blowing people up and attempting to destroy there home will somhow be positive for them?
w1lds1n3 > Yes, I do. My first few wars shaped my characters into what they are today. I used to be a carebear/industrialist. Now I have more fun destroying things than blowing them up.
w1lds1n3 > *creating them
w1lds1n3 > What you don't understand is how this war has evolved.
w1lds1n3 > It started as a simple violation of "standards and practices".
w1lds1n3 > Roleplay, basically.
w1lds1n3 > But you have made it deeply personal.
w1lds1n3 > If you can't realize that, than I really do pity you.
Joe Phoenix > you seem to believe i actuelly give a crap about zedriks little rules
w1lds1n3 > It's not about the standards or the practices anymore Joe.
w1lds1n3 > You crossed that line by insulting him, and his family, and just about anyone else who's aligned with him since.
Joe Phoenix > and why shouldn't i..
Joe Phoenix > iv had x1000 more insults
w1lds1n3 > Insults against your character, maybe. You really don't seem to be a good CEO. But I, nor Zedrik, have stooped to the level of insulting you personally
Joe Phoenix > oh enough about the bollucks ceo thing
w1lds1n3 > I would like to think that I myself anyway, have treated you with respect, even if I don't receive any from you.
Joe Phoenix > you just say that when you don't take into account the pressure the corp is under
Joe Phoenix > its stupid.
w1lds1n3 > The pressure your corp is under is entirely of your own making.
Joe Phoenix > no you'v been insulting...
w1lds1n3 > And entirely within your power to stop.
Joe Phoenix > ermm not really
w1lds1n3 > Joe, your corporation is a democracy, yes?
Joe Phoenix > because zedrik doesn't want a little corp showing eve that he has no power..
Joe Phoenix > no
w1lds1n3 > Well, even if it isn't, do you not think it would be appropriate to ask the members that are the backbone of your corporation, what they want to do about this?
w1lds1n3 > or are you afraid they'll all tell you to give it up?
Joe Phoenix > they are here to fight.
Joe Phoenix > if not they leave
Joe Phoenix > so its simple, you join our army you obay our rules.
w1lds1n3 > Strange, we haven't encountered any that wanted to fight us since the very beginning of the investigation.
w1lds1n3 > Most of them seem entirely oblivious to what's going on.
Joe Phoenix > thats bollucks
Joe Phoenix > oh yer because you can stay oblivious
Joe Phoenix > serously stop being stupid or your blocked
w1lds1n3 > So youre saying that you think it's alright to recruit new members, and not tell them beforehand that they're at war, and then after theyre in, that theyre expected to fight?
w1lds1n3 > Is that what you're telling me, Joe?
Joe Phoenix > evidence under duress is not valid
w1lds1n3 > Why would they lie to us about that?
w1lds1n3 > If they felt any loyalty to you at all, they would be saying the opposite.
Joe Phoenix > to make them feel less to stupid, to suvive, to let you hear what u want, for MONEY
w1lds1n3 > As I've said before, I have not paid any of your members, and if you'd like to pay for a 3rd party audit, I'd be happy to prove it to you.
Joe Phoenix > pak admited it
Joe Phoenix > now if there is somthing useful...
w1lds1n3 > No, I think by now it's become clear to me that you won't see logic or reason. My efforts to help you have been wasted.
w1lds1n3 > Good day, Joe.
The Joe Show...where Joe can't even take *great* advice.
