As announced here the IEEE has begun a preliminary investigation into Maru Ka'ge. As is traditional, I tried to get a hold of the CEO of the alliance, but instead I got a diplomat.

The IEEE fortunately does not require proof of any sort to start an investigation. Should any turn up that Maru Ka'ge was not involved in the slandering of Alek's and Noir.'s good name..then I may drop the demands for a public apology. But I doubt that they can prove they were not the faceless alts.
Concord will become involved should the investigation have to move to High Security space.

To be fair, you cannot genuinely expect them to prove the "faceless alts" were not Maru Ka'ge, for the simple reason that one cannot (mathematically) prove a negative postulate. As the Librarian of the IEEE, I would expect you to know this automatically, so I'm left with the disquieting possibilities that either you intentionally set an impossible goal for them, or you sloppily stated it in your writings above.

Anything which happens after that is simply C&P newbie trolls which thinks this is still funny.
The clue of the investigation is to get the leadership to officaly apologize, not getting their butthurt members to shut up.
Shhh...MDD...yes it is impossible to prove a negative... But I wouldn't expect *them* to know that...you're ruining the bit.
ReplyDeleteJust a simple question from someone remotely interested in this investigation: What if IEEE finds 'proof' of slander and unjust mud-throwing coming from the MK ranks?
ReplyDeleteAs long as no personal threats or abusive language was used, there is simply nothing IEEE nor Concord can do.
